Oh, I even made these cute little worksheets to help you along the process and the best part, you can use this worksheet every single time that you work on a fashion collection. So it’s not like a one-time thing.
Today we are going to cover:
- 6 Step process to come up with unique fashion collection themes for your clothing line.
- A cute worksheet that I pulled from fashion collection workbook.
- A video walk-through that shows you how to use the worksheet.
Let’s get started by downloading this worksheet. You can either print it and go by hand or you can just fill it in phone or computer and save a copy of it (it is fillable).
6 Steps to come up with your own FASHION COLLECTION THEMES
So step 1: (1 minute) 🕐
Come up with a word. it could be literally anything that’s around you. Fan, light, switch or anything.
Pro tip: this is meant to be a creative fun exercise and I don’t want you to complicate things by looking for the perfect word here. Just go with any simple words, if you can’t find any word here, then just go with the word ‘toothpick’. Seriously, don’t get stuck on step 1.
Remember the more you think, the more you complicate.
Step 2: (1 minute) 🕐
What reminds you of when you think of that word? Think of its shape, texture, color and come up with 4 words and note down.
Step 3: (3 min) 🕐
Now forget about the main word. What reminds you of when you think of word 1? Note it down and then what reminds you of that word and so on. Come up with 3 words for all 4 secondary words individually.
Step 4: (3 min) 🕐
Now search synonyms for all the above words and note down. A Google search would do or a thesaurus may help.
Step 5: (3 min) 🕐
Combine 2 words to create themes and play around. Come up with as many themes as you can.
Step 6: (2 min) 🕐
Pick your favorite ones and delete unnecessary themes that don’t make sense.
🎉 🎉 🎉 There you have it! By now hopefully, you ended up with a bunch of themes to work on… Isn’t that easy?
Oh I even Made you a Video that shows you how I use the worksheet. Click 👇🏻 below 👇🏻 to watch the video.
There’s nothing right or wrong along the process and don’t look for perfection. No one is going to judge you here. Trust the process and give it a try and you will be amazed at the results. If you stuck anywhere or if you got any questions, pop them in the comments and I will answer.
And that wraps up it all. If you have tried the process and loving it, let me know in the comments and also please drop the theme that you came up with. I am super excited .
